A beautiful yacht it is indeed!
- In the Galley we installed 2″ Aluminum blinds from Hunter Douglas with a wire retention system.
- In the Salon we placed motorized Duettes from Hunter Douglas with a wall switch and a wire retention system.
- In the Entertainment Room we added Top Down 3/4 Blackout Duettes from Hunter Douglas with inverted cuts and a tension system.
- The entire Downstairs was done with 3/4 Hunter Douglas Duettes Sheer Fabric. These have a standard pull cord with a wire retention system.
Hunter Douglas Duette Architella Blinds

This was a great custom job to finish for our client. The lower deck has Hunter Douglas Duette Architella blinds with inverted cuts and tension system with a Top Down light filtered material. We did the top deck the same way except we used a blackout material instead to keep the rooms dark when needed.

We turned this lady into a queen! The Upper and Salon decks were done with motorized Silhouettes that were battery powered with wire retention systems. We also motorized Roman shades that were not manufactured by us, proving once again that we can improve any product with our expertise. The Master Bedroom also got roller shades motorized with a wire retention system.
An 80′ Ferretti

This was a fun project for us. The salon was done with Hunter Douglas Pirouettes which were motorized by battery power, and included a wire retention system. They came out fantastic and are one of our favorite products. Downstairs we motorized some existing pleated and roman shades.
80′ Yacht – Hunter Douglas / Applause Honeycomb Top Down Motorized

This is an 80′ Yacht that we completed in 2011. This project was different because it wasn’t a luxury yacht but rather a yacht used for expeditionary projects. The client wanted privacy with an elegant look. Fortunately, there was a lot of room to mount the blinds since our client wanted them motorized. So we suggested 3/8 Honeycomb from Hunter Douglas. The client also preferred a Top Down system, so we added a wire retention system to keep them in place when the yacht was traveling or in high seas. As you can see from the photos, light was able to filter into the salon, but was blacked out in the bedroom.
70′ Yacht – Hunter Douglas Top Down/Bottom Up Doulite on a Tension System

On this project the client had an ideal window treatment in mind. They wanted Duolites from Hunter Douglas, and they turned out amazing. Once the blinds were ordered we had to convert them into a tension system, which is an application for the yachting industry. What this does is stabilize the blinds to keep them from banging around. As we all know waves and motion cause even the largest yachts to move around in the water. The tension system helps to keep blinds from flying around and damaging themselves and anything around them.
We love adding new products to our company product line. So, if you have any ideas for blind products for your yacht please give us a call and we can convert them for you!
